Panther families, we need your help to keep vital resources flowing into our schools. Before the new year begins, please take a few moments to complete the Household Income Form. Even though all Carroll County students receive free meals through the Community Eligibility Program, this form is still essential because it determines whether students qualify for free or reduced fees on things like courses and computer use. More importantly, it helps secure critical funding for programs like Title I and the Family Resources Youth Services Center (FRYSC), which supports our students every day. Submitting your form early not only benefits the district, but also saves our FRYSC team valuable time tracking down paperwork later. Thank you for making a difference!

A CCHS student took on the project of replacing the flags in front of the high school. He ordered new flags, swivel hooks, and a solar light to illuminate the flags. School Community Liaison Jeff Fremin helped him tie on new swivel hooks and raise the flags. CCHS teacher Ms. Elizabeth Perkins worked with him to research and order a U.S., Kentucky and Carroll County High School flag, as well as the new hardware. (Photos courtesy of Jeff Fremin.)

Students in Mrs. McCarty’s third and fifth period Spanish classes competed to build the tallest Tower of Tarragona. The students learned about the tradition of building human towers, or castells, in the city of Catalonia, Spain. The third period class had a tie between two groups with 24 levels. The tie breaker was the challenge of saying in Spanish what the castells were, where they are from, and to say how many levels their tower had. Both groups were able to do the challenge, so Mrs. McCarty declared a tie. The fifth period class winner built a tower with 21 levels. (Photos courtesy of Mrs. McCarty.)
