Happy Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Thank you to all of our bus drivers who get our students to and from school safely. We appreciate all you do!


First graders from Kathryn Winn Primary recently created an American Living History Museum. Each student made a presentation on American icons, such as presidents, landmarks, national parks or other national symbols. Students, staff and family members toured the museum and learned all about America.

Carroll County Schools will release early today due to ongoing rain and rising water levels in the county. All after-school activities are cancelled today as well.
Bus riders will follow this schedule: Cartmell, 1 p.m.; CCHS, 1:10 p.m.; CCMS 1:20 p.m. and Winn, 1:30 p.m.
Individual schools will follow this schedule to release car riders and walkers:
Carroll County Middle School - Car riders will be released at 1:05 p.m. and walkers at 1:10 p.m.
Kathryn Winn Primary - Car riders and walkers release at 1 p.m.
Carroll County High School - Walkers, drivers and car riders will release at 1:10 p.m.
Cartmell Elementary - Car riders and walkers release at 1 p.m.

Carroll County Schools will be closed today, April 3, due to damage throughout the community after last night's storms. Please be safe and remain weather aware!


Carroll County Fiscal Court recognized our school counselors and social workers today when they read two declarations. March was recognized as Social Worker Appreciation Month while April was noted as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Members of the Cabinet for Families and Children were also recognized.

Kathryn Winn first grade teacher Hannah Devine has invited several special guests to read to her students during Read Across America Week. Her grandmother, Debi Geisler, and Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes have read to students on Monday and Tuesday.

A snow-filled winter has played havoc with our school calendar this year, but the most recent revision has been released. Stay tuned for an announcement on graduation!


Kathryn Winn Primary kicked off Read Across America Week with a visit from The Cat In The Hat. The Food Services department organized a special Dr. Seuss-themed lunch in honor of the author's birthday.
