Carroll County Schools is developing a plan for busing in light of the weight restrictions on the Kentucky River Bridge between Carrollton and Prestonville.
Buses will not be utilizing the bridge, but bus transportation will be available at centralized locations on the west end of the county.
The transportation department has planned an early August release for detailed busing plans. Please check our social media frequently for updates.

Carroll County Food Services is hosting a free lunch and book giveaway at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Cartmell Elementary. It's open to anyone 18 and younger. Check out the flyer for details!

The Carroll County English Language Learners Department hosted an ELL Family Dinner & Fun Night recently. Through gracious donations of community members, families with students in the English Learners Program were able to enjoy a relaxing time at Camp KYSOC.






Thank you to our SRO team for another successful and safe year at Carroll County Schools.
They work hard every day to ensure all students and staff are safe. We are fortunate to have such a caring group in our school buildings who build strong relationships with our students and parents.
Our SRO team includes Darrell Tomlinson and Laman Stark at Cartmell; Don Mulhall at Kathryn Winn; Tim Gividen at Carroll County Middle School and David Mutchler at Carroll County High School.


Eighth grade students received academic and some special awards during a ceremony this morning. The eighth grade graduation will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the CCMS gymnasium. Tickets are required for the event.










Today we celebrate our Lunch Heroes! Thank you for your dedication and hard work. Cartmell Elementary third graders are pictured with the thank you notes they wrote. We appreciate you!




Eighth grade students in the gifted and talented program took a field trip to the Carroll County Extension Office recently. They learned about healthy eating habits, how to properly measure ingredients, cut vegetables and made their own pizzas, salad and dessert. The Carroll County Middle School and Carroll County High School bands performed Friday in their annual spring concert. The CCMS Winter Guard also participated.
